Mrs. Bernice Brown Callahan, age 60 of Douglasville, passed away July 4, 2007 at residences following an extended illness.

Mrs. Callahan was born July 23, 1946 in Summerville, GA the daughter of the late James Hardy “Jim” Brown, and Mable Patterson Brown. Mrs. Callahan worked in Retail Management for a number of years and was a member of Hebron Baptist Church in Vaiden, MS

Survivors include her husband, James Callahan, daughters and sons, in-law, Vickie and Brian Hodges, McCool, MS, Valarie and Steven Goss, Vaiden, MS, sons and daughters-in-law, David and Angie Callahan, Villa Rica, Dennis and Aena Callahan, Villa Rica, and Darren and Lisa Callahan, Douglasville, sisters, Myrtle Black, McCool, MS, and Shirley Bryan, Summerville, GA nine grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren also survive.

In accordance with the families wishes the body was cremated.

Memorial Services will be conducted Saturday, July 7, 2007 at 11 o’clock from J. Collins Funeral Home with Josh Nelson, Clifton Culberson and Tim Bowlick officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Family Health Care of West Georgia; 536 Newnan Road, Carrollton, GA 30117 or Crohn's andColitis Foundation On Behalf of Dr. Neil Osborne; Atlanta Gastroenterology, Douglasville Office in Memory of Bernice B Callahan

J. Collins Funeral Home & Cremation Service in charge of arrangements.
