Mr. James S. East, Sr. Age 71 of Douglasville, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at Douglas Hospital.
Mr. East was born June 14, 1935 in Hamlet, NC the son of Floree East and the late David Spencer East. He was retired from General Motors where he worked on the assembly line for 30 years. Mr. East was a veteran having served in the United States Air Force . He was Baptist by faith and enjoyed spending time at Lake Hartwell.
Besides his mother he is survived by his wife Minnie East, sons and daughters-in-law, Spencer Jr. and Sue East, Stockbridge, Chris and Frances East, Villa Rica, daughters and son-in-law, Sandra Carter, McDonough, Cindy and Jeff Eassey, Dallas, brothers and sister-in-law, Billy and Linda East, Zebulon, David East, Austell, sister and brother-in-law, Denise and Ron Foster, Griffin, 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive
Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, December 16, 2006 at 11 o’clock from J. Collins Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. Neal Williams officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6 until 8 P.M. and Friday from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 P.M.
Interment will follow in Sweetwater Memorial Park.
