1941 - 2006
Mr. Byron “T” Turner, age 65 of Lake Ridge Drive, Temple passed away suddenly Sunday, December 17, 2006.
Mr. Turner was born April 15, 1941 in Muscogee County, the son of the late William Byron Turner and Martha Evelyn Forhand Turner, He retired from the United States Air Force as a Master Sargent after 21 years of service, and was a member of Center Point United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Faye Pendry Turner, daughter, Sherry Lee, Coushatta, LA, granddaughter, Lauren Lee, Coushatta, LA, brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Blanche Walston, Hurtsboro, AL, Joseph Turner, North Carolina, Robert Turner, Florida, sisters, Lois Norris, Colombus, GA, Joyce Walston, Colombus, GA, and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive, besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Turner in February of 1968.
Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, December 21, 2006 at 11 o’clock from Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City, AL with Rev. Jimmy Bryan officiating.
Interment will follow in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with full military honors
The family will receive friends at J. Collins Funeral Home in Villa Rica on Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 and Wednesday at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City from 6 until 8 P.M.
Pallbearers include Don Baker, Elton Brooks, Paul Moncada, Tim Lewis and Robert Peppers, and Chris Norris.
