Mr. Donald A. Woelke Sr., age 72, of The Bellevue Community, Villa Rica, GA died early Sunday, February 4, 2007 in Heartland Hospice Home in Austell, following an extended illness.
Mr. Woelke was born January 28, 1934 the son of the late Albert Woelke and Flora Woelke Boucher. He was a United States Veteran having served in the Military Police during the Korean War. He worked for a number of years for the Federal Penitentiary System and retired as a Lieutenant. He was a Mason and a member of The Capital View Lodge #640. Mr. Woelke enjoyed traveling around the counties in Memphis competing in Car Shows and Car Cruises with his award winning 1956 Chevrolet.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Ivey Dumas Woelke, son and daughter-in-law, Donald A. Jr. and Carol Woelke, Cape Coral, FL, daughters and sons-in-law, Sandi and Jeff Acker, Villa Rica, Donna Jean and Mark Earp, Safford, AZ, Patti Ann and Joe Quinn, Safford, Az and Debbie and Jim Hurst, Shalimar, FL. 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren also survive.
In accordance with the families wishes the body was cremated.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
