Mrs. Annelle Garrett, age 86 of Highway 113, Carrollton, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2007
Mrs. Garrett, a native of Carroll County was born July 6, 1920 the daughter of the late Nathan Smith and Irene Shirah Smith. She was retired from Sewell Manufacturing were she had been employed for over 40 years. She was a member of The First Baptist Church in Carrollton where she was a member of The Grace Sunday School Class. Mrs. Garrett enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was a loving sister, aunt and friend.
Survivors include her sister, Madge Chandler, Temple, step-children, Jim Garrett, Marietta, Tony Garrett, Arkansas, Martha Ogleberg, Kennesaw, and Robin Garrett Atlanta, and several nieces and nephews also survive. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, William Lovvorn, second husband, James Garrett, sisters, Ruth Hendrix, Margaret West, brothers, Harold Smith, and Herman Smith.
Funeral service will be conducted Friday, March 9, 2007 at 1 o’clock from The First Baptist Church in Carrollton with Dr. Steve Davis and Mr. Buddy White officiating. Music will be provided by Terry and Julie Lowry. The body will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the funeral.
The family will receive friends at J. Collins Funeral Home in Villa Rica on Thursday from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 P.M. and Friday at the church for one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow the service in Carroll Memory Gardens
Pallbearers include Jim Garrett, Tony Garrett, David Lovvorn, Kent Lovvorn, Josh Chandler, and Bill Walton. The Grace Sunday School Class will serve as an Honorary Escort.
