I happened across Mrs. Edwards Remembrance in the Herald Dispatch. I know that your loss must be great, and I thought about something I had read recently about coping with death. It said that when we lose someone, there is an empty space where before there was a living human. That hole in our life will take time to heal, just as a severe physical wound takes time to heal. It is important that we are patient with ourselves and allow time to grieve. A scripture that helped me to remember that I didnt have to do this alone when I lost my best friend is 2 Corinthians 1:3. It says, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort. In verse 4 it goes on to say that God comforts us so that we can then comfort others. I hope that this has comforted you.
