I happened across Ms. Greens Remembrance in the Herald Dispatch. I did not know her, but I was struck by her young age. My heart goes out to Shovon, Shankia, Cassondra, and Dewight. I know that your loss must be great, and where there was once a living breathing person now there is just an empty space in your lives. That hole will take time to heal, just as a severe physical wound takes time to heal. When things like this happen, it is important that we are patient with ourselves and allow time to grieve. When things get tough, remember that you dont have to go through this alone. James 4:8 tells us, Draw close to God and he will draw close to you, and 2 Corinthians 1:3 says, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort. So try and remember to draw close to God in prayer. Hes there to tenderly comfort us.
