Ray F. Hackney Ray F. Hackney 89 of Blaine, Kentucky went to be with his Lord on Saturday January 29, 2011 following a long illness.

Ray was born July 25, 1921 at Blaine, Kentucky, the son of the late Thomas and Ruth Maggard Hackney. In addition to his parents Ray was preceded in death by a son Donald Hackney.

Ray was a retired Home Decorator, member of the Jake Rice F & AM # 606 Blaine, KY, and served in the United States Navy during World War II.

Survivors include his loving wife of 70 years Laura Berry Hackney, two daughters and son-in-laws Karen and Charles Dickson and Lois Jean and Ted Hollinsworth, two sons and daughters-in-laws Ralph and Lucille Hackney and Larry and Mary Hackney, a sister Pauline Wheeler, eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday February 1, 2011 at noon at the Wilson Funeral Home by Rev. Roger Jordan and Rev. Rick Cordial. Graveside military rites will be conducted by members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion at the Castle Cemetery Blaine, Kentucky following the service at the funeral home.
