T. J. Preece

T. J. Preece 77 of Louisa, KY passed away at home onThursday September 29, 2011 surrounded by his loving family.

T. J. was born February 20, 1934 in Martin County Kentucky, the son of the late James Harvey and Zella Meade Preece. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers Ezra Fraley, Harvey Fraley, Willis Preece and Stewart Preece.

T. J. was a retired coal miner with the Martin County Coal Company.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Carolyn June Carter Preece; three daughters Candice Jones, Sandra Boggs and husband Tony, and Crystal Spillman-Kazee and husband David all of Louisa; a son James Preece and wife Linda of Louisa; two sisters Tiny Fields of Columbus, Ohio and Orgie Lou Howard of Inez, KY; two brothers R. J. Preece of Columbus, Ohio and George Preece of Inez, KY; three grandchildren LaShea Preece, Roy Spillman Jr., and Brooke Spillman; and two step grandchildren Wallace and Jessica Kazee.

Revs Doug Kelly and James Osborne will conduct funeral services on Sunday afternoon October 2nd at 2:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Yatesville Memorial Gardens at Louisa, KY.

Friends may call from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm Saturday at Wilson Funeral Home.

June and family, I am so sorry for your loss at this time. I would be there with you if I could. Take comfort in knowing he was ready to go and not suffering anymore. The Lord says to be of good courage, and He will strengthen thine heart, wait on the Lord, Psalms 27:14 Love to All
