Mrs. Sparks: I want to express condolence for the loss of Mr. Sparks who was well knows to his friends as Bill John. I had the pleasure of getting to know him when he worked as a principal in Lawrence Co. and I as a Central Office Educational Administrator in Martin County. Shortly before my retirement in 2007, I became even more acquainted with Bill John as an active Gideon. I always found Bill John to be eager and dedicated in his service to God and the Gideons. He not only served the good folks of Lawrence Co. but also willingly served the folks in Martin Co. and other areas for the cause of reaching people for the Lord. I will always remember him as a dedicated Christian and know with firm steadfastness that he is in the presence of our Lord. Carl Kirk Martin County Gideon Camp
