June Carter Meade, 77, of Greenup, Ky., died Friday, April 11, 2003, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Ky.
Mrs. Meade was born June 30, 1925, in Chattaroy, W.Va., a daughter of the late James and Brookie Harris Carter.
Mrs. Meade also was preceded in death by her husband, Dorsie Ray Meade, on April 5, 2001.
She was of the Christian faith.
Surviving are two sons, James D. Meade and John D. Meade, both of Greenup, Ky.; two daughters, Linda J. Munro and her husband, Ron, and Ann Larsen and her husband, Dan, all of Dayton, Ohio; three grandchildren, Devin Larsen, Dana Larsen and Stephen Munro, all of Dayton, Ohio; two brothers, Ben Carter and his wife, Ruth, of Lloyd, Ky., and Dale Carter and his wife, Beulah, of Greenup, Ky.; five sisters, Opal Banks, Mae Scaggs and her husband, Andrew, and Geneva Carter, all of Greenup, Ky., Ella Marcie Risner and her husband, Sheldon, of Maysville, Ky., and Frances Williams and her husband, Ray, of Worthington, Ky.; and three sisters-in-law, Georgia Carter and Barbara Carter, both of Greenup, Ky., and Norma B. Carter of Lloyd, Ky.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, April 14, 2003, at Greenup Wesleyan Church by Kirtley Sipple.
Burial will be in Gardner Cemetery in Magoffin County, Ky.
