Marie Elvira Silva-Morrison, 69, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 in Kerrville, Texas. She was born on January 3, 1945 in Val Verde County, Texas to Remijio Silva and Manuela Monclova. She graduated in 1963 from Edgewood High School, San Antonio. Marie worked most of her life in the military hospital system as a registered nurse. She went on to teach and became a mentor for about 23 people. She enjoyed cooking foods from other countries to share with others, especially during holidays. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Silva; sister, Lydia Silva.
Marie is survived by her loving son, Kenneth Morrison and partner Gaylon Jackson of Gig Harbor, WA; siblings, Roger Silva of San Antonio, Johnny Silva and wife Dora Ann of Kerrville, Dora Silva Cuellar of San Antonio and Rachell Gonzales and husband William of San Antonio. Marie will be loved and missed by many other family members and friends.
Memorial service will be 3:00 pm, Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Wright's Funeral Parlor.
