Elizabeth Freeman passed from this life at the age of 84 on Thursday, April 17, 2014 in Bandera with her children at her side. Etta Elizabeth was born on February 20, 1930 in Hunt to Anne (Jackson) and Houston Smith. Elizabeth worked as a secretary and a school cafeteria cook for most of her adult life. She enjoyed cooking, reading and socializing with others. Elizabeth loved spending time in her garden and fishing.
She preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lealon V. Freeman (1987); siblings, Zadie Mae, Lorna, Agnes, Lawrence, Nora Bea, Edna and Patty Lou; children, Buddy, Mary Lou and Raymond.
Elizabeth is survived by her children, Lealon Freeman and wife Kathy , Tracy Hoisington and husband Dwayne, Janie Ashley , and Anne Penny; siblings, James Smith, Vernon Smith and Ann Belle McMillian. Also left to cherish her memory is 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She will be loved and missed by many other family members and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 pm, Sunday, June 15, 2014 at Wright's Funeral Parlor. Burial will take place at West Prong Cemetery in Medina, Texas.
