Jeanne S. Larson peacefully went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 23, 2014. She was born on June 29, 1921, in Indianapolis to Chester and Ada Beck. Jeanne was a devoted member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Kerrville. She spent many hours serving others through volunteering and was on the board of CAM. Jeanne was the first married woman with children allowed to take nursing training in Indiana. After 30 years of nursing, she became an addiction counselor for Hill Country ADA.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Virgil, sister Ethel and grandson, Joey.
Jeanne is survived by her loving children, Bruce Schafer and wife, Barbara, of Ingram, Michael Lukens of Boynton Beach, Fl., Brain Schafer of Nashville, Tn and Barbara Vorhes and husband, Joe, of Hunt: 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren and dear friend, B. J. Wilson.
Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 3rd, 2014, at
The Seventh Day Adventist Church, Kerrville, with a graveside service to
follow at 2:45, Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio.
