On July 8, 2014 the world lost a sweet, gentle soul with the passing of Meghan Elizabeth Strong-West. She was born December 31, 1944 in Houston. Meghan was adventurous, free-spirited and lived her life as she wanted. Her journey took her from Texas to Pennsylvania, New Jersey, California, Ireland, Virginia then back to Texas. She moved from Houston to Kerrville in 2011 and really loved long drives, seeing the local sights and finding what lay over the next hill.
Meghan loved her family and was so proud of them all. Her only child, Heather West, always felt her love, encouragement and blessing. She was married for 34 years to Bob West whose humor and songs carried her through. She was extremely close with her baby sister, Mary Birmingham. They were friends and sisters, always there for each other. Meghan has 2 grandchildren, Gianni Sepulveda and Annabelle Jackson. She adored them and they will miss their Nana dearly.
