Edward Stephen Walsh- Edward Stephen Walsh at the age of 86 passed away on Friday, August 1, 2014 at a local care center. He was born to Michael and Mariam Walsh on December 20, 1927 in Auburn, N.Y. Edward married Martha Louise McWilliams September 17, 1949 in Henrietta Texas. He is survived by his wife of almost 65 years, Martha Louise; son Michael Edward Walsh; 2 daughters, Patricia Marie McBride and husband Clifford and Catherine Anne Wellner and husband Frank; 4 grandchildren Stephen McBride, Jonathan McBride, Patrick Wellner and Megan Wellner and many other family members and friends who love him will miss him. Edward was preceded in death by 3 siblings, a son, daughter in-law and one brother-in- law.

He served in the Navy as a baker and in the in the Air Force as a flight engineer. Edward retired from the Air Force in October of 1967 after serving in WWII, the Korean War, Cuban missile crisis and the beginning of the Vietnam War. He had fascinating stories regarding his flight missions, especially his B-29, Missions over Korea. After retiring from the military, he continued to work as a Master Electrician and as an electrical engineer across Texas, NC, SD, and Florida. They moved to the Hill Country in 1998, where he was a member of the VFW, American Legion and the Elks Lodge. Edward was a loving husband and father. He loved the outdoors and fishing. He was a gentle giant and will be greatly missed.

Memorial services will be held 2pm, Monday, Aug. 04, 2014 at Hilltop Village Chapel.
